Nimeway thanked Fiontann as she left Beriadan in his home. She mounted her horse, kicking it gently as they started out with a trot. The two, accompanied by Nime's new found wolf friend, walked through the marshes into the forests of Far Chetwood. The trees towered over the little Nimeway, but she loved the sight of them. After a little bit, rain began to fall from the sky, and Nime decided to stop in the forest to let Raaka, the wolf, and her horse rest. However, Nime snuck away from them, using a throwing dagger to kill a wolverine that she dragged back to her animal friends.
It took Nime a few moments to start a fire, but she managed to do so and clean the wolverine. With a smirk to Raaka, Nime said in jest, 'I hope you enjoy burnt meat.'
Raaka just tilted his head in confusion, but it wasn't long before Nime handed him a piece of the meat, and the young wolf found out what she meant. The meat was blackened, but it was better than eating nothing. After the two ate, they leaned back as Nime's horse finished grazing a bit and settled down to sleep. If it wasn't for Raaka, Nime would not have felt comfortable to rest.
Despite all that was going on in Nime's life, the empty hole left in her stomach from missing her family, and despite the pains she had been hiding over the past weeks, Nime felt a hint of tranquility in the forest at that moment. She had a friend who was watching over her and cuddling up to her, and she was able to slip into a dreamless sleep. Perhaps the first since Ross had left. Nime did hope her trip wouldn't lead to complete disappointment, though she wasn't sure what she was exactly looking for. Nime had to find out one thing though. Only one thing.
