Golden Autumn In Middle-Earth

Leaves are turning golden, the air is growing crisp, songs have been practiced, and in Middle-earth that means - Autumn is here! This year the season is back and better than ever before. Travel to Hobbiton for a traditional 'hobbit' event, the annual Bards Day Concert by The Brandy Badgers for an evening of perfectly performed music to remember the writer of the tales, poems and songs we treasure. A concert to honor master Ronald Dwale (J.R.R. Tolkien). Somewhere between the green rolling hills of the Shire and great forests and mountains of Middle-earth the music will intone tales of great adventures in clarity and gentleness, yet still with a traditional 'hobbity' twist.

Visit Thorin's Hall for the annual Harnkegger Games organized by the dwarves of the Durin's Folk. Known for its various gaming contests, general merriment and consumption of rather large amounts of ale, this festival of Dwarvish origin, is often nicknamed the Deep Ale Fest. As ever the fest and games will be opened to all, be it dwarves, hobbits, men or yes… even elves. This year the Games will be bigger than ever before, with eleven full-scale events spread over 5 days… and the largest hoard of prizes ever seen in Middle-earth!

Join the hobbits and their friends in the annual celebration of Master Bilbo Baggins's birthday in his absence, with a unique musical and theatrical performance of songs, tales and poems inspired by Bilbo Baggins's adventure to reclaim a lost treasure from a dragon. An evening in which an adaptation of Mister Bilbo Baggins's great adventure will be told in music and words for your enjoyment. Songs, poems and stories will bring to life the incredible adventures of Bilbo and his companions as written by him.
THERE AND BACK AGAIN - THE MUSICAL 2014

The first crops have ripened and been harvested at this time for centuries, and it seems to be a time when life needs to be enjoyed while the warm light of Autumn still shines before slowly dimming as winter approaches. It is a time in Middle-earth about celebrating and acknowledging the earth’s abundance and giving thanks. The golden fires of Autumn will be lit in homes all across the land, in preparation to light and warm during the winter months.
