Escape

It was not difficult to escape that night. At midnight Lord Nodron and all the household servants were fast asleep. Tilyh simply walked out of the townhouse. She took her satchel packed full of clothes and walked the short distance from Lord Nodron’s house to the house of Lady Meldis.

She was stunned by her own courage, shocked about everything that had happened that had finally convinced her she had to save herself, even though she had not been able to save Muldal. She had to save Si’nol.

She had heard the news at midday while shopping for groceries at the market. Dockworkers had found a drowned woman in the harbor, dressed like a servant. Nobody knew who she was, but her dark skin-tone suggested she hailed from Harad. There were not too many Haradrim servants in Pelargir, so her identity should not be too difficult to find out.

”Dead”, Tilyh had whispered, eyes wide open with horror.

So it was true. They had killed Muldal and Khirih. Perhaps they wanted to kill them all. All arrangements, all promises were worthless now.

Su’mokr would hear the news as well, and he would know Tilyh had heard them too. Su’mokr would understand that Tilyh knew he had killed Muldal with Captain Fangnir. He would want to silence her next.

The grey man in Lady Meldis’ house was the only person who could help her now. He was a strong man. He had connections with the throne of Gondor. He had promised to help Tilyh and Si’nol if she in turn helped him. She would move into Lady Meldis’ house and ask them for protection and help. It was the only play she had left now.
