Tales of a Gutsy Traveller

Tales of a Gutsy Traveler.

By: Ardeghon

''Even I can see that there is too much hate in this world, and I've always wanted to do something about, I just don't know what yet. But I believe that there will come a day when Dwarves, Elf, Hobbits and Men can truly understand eachother, a world of understanding, a world of true Peace...''

The little quote above, it... defines me, it's what I stand for, it's what I try to accomplish, this book is not thought of or fiction, it describes my life, things I have been through, things I have seen. Even though I've been taught swordfighting and archery by my father, who had been a soldier of the army of Rohan, I am still a writer at heart. Well then, shall we begin?

Ha, alot of people I meet on my travels tell me Ardeghon is an Elvish name. Though they are horribly mistaking, my  father a Ranger and my mother from Rohan makes me.... from Rohan, as I tell most people. My youth was... what shall I say, complicated. I was raised in Rohan, on a little farm outside of Edoras. When I was 15 the Uruk-Hai came to the farm, burning it down and killing the people that worked there. I was hunting when I saw smoke coming from my home. I rushed back only to find my father deadly wounded. He told me it was too late for him. He gave me his sword, I don't use it, but carry it with me, like a lucky charm. I was headed for Archet to help them out there. After helping the Men of Bree in the Bree lands, helping the Eglain in the Lone Lands I now am helping the Wardens of Annuminas in Evendim.

I was hoping to get away from the raids on villages by leaving Rohan, but no, when arriving in Archet a mysterious man, Strider, tell me the village is going to be attacked by those cursed Blackwolds. No one believed him, except for me. He had me do a few tasks to aid Archet in the upcoming battle but alas, what I did didn't stop the Blackwolds from setting Archet on fire. I was able to get to the main square where we were confronted with the traitor Calder Cob, ''most trusted soldier'', he didn't really live up to the title now did he? I went to Combe, got a few tasks there, earned some money, honed my skills. Overall, nothing I couldn't handle.

But after being in Bree Land for a while I started to  notice the darkness in these lands... The evil that was present here, the Blackwolds were nothing in comparison to them... This evil, even bigger than the evil in the land where I came from. A bit too late to turn back now eh? Goblins, Orcs, Craban etc. All servants of the enemy, all present in this one land...

I have done what I could in Archet to Bree, but there are still alot of places where I can help out west of Bree, and those are the places where I will go...
