Autum has arrived and the crops are being harvested. The days grow colder and the nights grow longer. Time for a celebration to keep the spark of merriment alive! So steel your nerves and join us for an evening of dancing, drinks and merriment to celebrate the harvest and the coming winter! Wear your most Attractive Attire, Oddest Outfit or Grim Garb to win a prize!

The Autum Ball will have a scary theme. Guests are encouraged to come in costume though this is not mandatory.

The ball will be held at the haunted home of the Mithril Dragon on Tuesday, November 1st at 5 Longstreet, Harcrest, Breeland Homesteads, Laurelin Server.

Starts: Servertime 16:00, British Time 20:00, European Time 21:00

Music will be provided by the following bands: The Chosen Few, The Pied Pipers, The Shades and The Songburrow Strollers.

There will be a competition for those wishing to participate with a prize for the winner in each category. Three categories have been decided on:

  1. Most Attractive Attire (prize Throne of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)
  2. Most Odd Outfit (prize Broken Throne of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)
  3. Most Grim Garb (prize Tomb of Night housing item plus 2 gold coins)

If you wish to enter the competition, please contact Whitmore or Fyxe with your character name and the competition category you wish to enter for before the start of the ball at the latest. (That is 20:00 UK time/21:00 European time at the latest.)

Each contestant may enter ONE category.

The contestants will be lined up all together, divided into the three categories on stage after the third band plays and judged by three judges: Cymaru, Cairthain and Whitmore.

One prize will be awarded for each category.

COME TRY YOUR LUCK AND SKILL IN THE OST FOROD ARENA!

Sturdy warriors, an experienced healer and a bard are wanted for a trip North, to Ost Forod, to participate at the fights in the Ost Forod Arena. 

There would be a TWENTY GOLD PRIZE  for the winner of the final fight and guaranteed coin for the winners of bets and fights alike during the contest!

The contest will be taking place at October 15th ((20.00 UK time)), at Ost Forod, Evendim .

Greeters: For the welcoming and providing of directions to guests on their way to the townhouse where the ball will be held.

Servers: For the providing of free drinks, refreshments and pipeweed to guests.

Alternate clothing may be provided if deemed necessary.

This project is for the people of Laurelin to showcase their music to a potentially large audience in the Prancing Pony!

If you wish to play music at this event you will need to contact "Sum" in-game (through mail) where you will be allocated a place in the show!

The rough details

  • It will be beside the barber in the top corner inside the Prancing Pony
  • The event will last around an hour (7pm to 8pm UK time) with several people playing their songs.. (there is no limit to the ABCs you can use however artists such as Lady Gaga is not particuarly encouraged)
  • This is an RP event however strict rules do not imply (If you forget to remove your weapons you will not be scolded.. you may get a few odd looks though!)

    It's a pretty simple and laid back event and I hope you join in!

WANTED: The Murderer Known as RAB for the deaths of SIWARD AND JENN *A realistically accurate and talented sketch is drawn of the man*

 

WANTED: DEAD.

 

The vile murderer they call Rab, though that is believed to be an alias, a strong case being put to us for the naming of this man.

Some time ago Siward, a respected and well-known denizen of the town was found slain on the outskirts of Bree, believed to be poisoned or killed through some other under-handed means as the body was with little mark or sign of struggle. Rab, ((Eradric)) previously in the service of the man is almost certainly believed to be the culprit behind this cowardly and greedy assault, much later the manor housing his grieving widow was burnt to the ground after presumably being looted, this innocent noblewoman being caught up in the fire. Description: Rohirrim, old, weather-beaten, tangled beard with greasy and dirty hair, can either be seen in a burgundy hauberk or suit of armour usually carrying a sword, he is to be considered armed and dangerous and to be killed on sight. Only having the one eye to see through, he wears an eye-patch. Had a previous spell with the Bree Guard before being cast out. Approach with caution.

A reward of at least five gold pieces will be given to the collector of this bounty.

HELP REQUEST :GATHERING INFORMATION

 

Inhabitants of the Bree lands. As many of you may have noticed, strange things are happening throughout the lands of Eriador. But you don't have nothing to worry about. Many of you may have seen strange people running around the Bree lands. If you see something strange, something suspicious, and not just the usual travelers, please, look for a man called Erethrorn. He can be found at The Prancing Pony almost every night.

If he's not in there and you have some kind of information that may be helpful, please, don't hesitate to send a letter to him. Feel free to give the letter to Barliman Butterbur and he'll take care of it, or you can just ask him where to send the letter.

Please, don't include information of great importance in the letter, be brief and concise. You will be able to discuss the details about the problem or the information you gathered with Erethrorn in person, in a safe place.
