Méryniel   -  ( Pronounced Mer-rin-e-all )

Méryniel was born in the TA 2020 beneath the woodland canopy of Mirkwood within the Realm of Thranduil to her parents Thrandrolliel, and Lamniel. She was given the name "Evenshade" by her kind, for her birth took place as the sun was setting one midsummers eve and cast glowing red golden glows which created dancing lights within the eves of the trees.

Her upbringing was one of contrasts, by her father she was taught from an early age the use of weapons, be it bows, swords, daggers, and the cunning of a woodland elf. From her mother her more gentler side is shown with her love of nature, animals, and song, of which if one is lucky enough to hear, is a love rivalled only by her deadly skill of a bow.

Her childhood and adolescent years were spent within the confines of Mirkwood where she learned the skill of an archer, the string of a lute, and also attained the love and respect of the good people of her realm. She also gained the love and affection of her trusted hawk, one of the last remaining unblemished animals to be found within an already darkening forest.

Her adult years are now spent as a captain within the Royal Guard of King Thranduil, whom she serves with fierce loyalty. She has found no love, nor has she ever been willing to, save for that of nature, for all her life has been devoted to her family, her king, and her realm.
