Felt stifled at home as the expected role for women did not involve any of the things that she wanted to do.  Ran away and acted as a guard for the refugees who were heading north.  Waylaid by bandits in Bree land but rescued by someone calling himself Strider.  Finally glad to have someone who relied on her to help she has decided to stay in the north for now and learn more in the arts of war through experience rather than listening to tales.

She is constantly on edge around anyone from Riddermark in case they know her family and have come to take her home but would love to have tales told and sung of her deeds in her homeland.  Prefers to be referred to as a Shieldmaiden rather than a captain.

Likes meals to be hot and meat based but would never eat horse flesh.
