Ranniel Lendis

Hailing from Lothlorien, the land covered in golden leafs, Ranniel’s  50 years were spent outside, playing with animals, gaining an affinity for nature. She started studying lore from an elder. At the age of 50, feeling that living at home besides her parents won’t get her anywhere, Ranniel decided to go on a journey with an eye to understanding other nation’s traditions and culture. Her parents weren’t keen on the idea of their daughter traveling into the unknown, but her ambitious personality was unstoppable, and they knew it.

Her ride begun when the moon was high above her head and the lights were out; no notes left, feeling that it wouldn’t be necessary. On her journey, Ranniel found a lynx cub which was sleeping next to its deceased mother, and started to take care of it, creating a powerful bond between eachother. Together they roamed the Middle Earth, learning and understanding new perspectives from men, dwarfs, hobbits, and even elves.

She still hasn’t stopped her journey, but found a new aspiration, the one of becoming a healer. The urge of becoming useful came as she saw two villagers fall after a troll found its way to them. They had potential to live, but her inexperience in that domain couldn’t help them.

Ranniel Lendis is a cheerful and bubbly elf after she warms up, but the first impression she comes off as rude, impulsive and arrogant. Her icy blue eyes are vigilant, always knowing her surroundings. She treats her comrades with genuine respect and great loyalty; trying to be as helpful as she can be.

Ranniel is not the name her parents gave her, but a name she used after leaving her family behind, considering that her actions were abnormal and selfish for a child; but it was too late for her to turn her way around. Ranniel is a Sindarin word for “Crooked Daughter” from raen (“crooked”) and iell (“daughter”).
