Mordonis and her past are shrouded in mystery it is believed that she lived in  Greenwood the Great as it was once known. At that time she went by the name of Erynien who had sworn an oath to protect the forest and her kin who lived within.

Her connection to the forest was strong, so strong that it was believed she felt the corrupting influance on the forest long before the presence of the Necromancer was revealed during the Third Age, and that as the once peaceful forest sank further under his influence so too did Erynien. Now the story of Erynien is a long forgotten fable but there are those that still say she stalks the forest full of both grief for the pain that the forests feel and anger at the corruption brought upon it.
