Balimpo was born in Waymeet, brought up in Waymeet, and has little desire to travel too far outside of Waymeet.  Although he has never had much money, nothing in life beats what he already has in life - his caravan and the Ivy Bush just down the road (which he does wish could be moved to Waymeet!).

He has his eyes on making Miss Oleanderrose his wife, and settling down with her in Waymeet.  But she does not share these dreams, and has set her ambitions much higher.  But you can't fault him for trying!

Balimpo has recently grown quite concerned with the strange goings on in the Shire.  The trouble with wolves recently experienced by neighbour Dora Brownlock was the final straw, and he signed up for the bounders.  As he is not very well learned, he did need some help signing his name however.  And being ever clumsy he often needs help more generally.
