Background
Taruin was born in Bree-land with the name of Jon Hilford, and would become a guard for Archet when he reached manhood. He would report to one of Archet's most trusted soldiers, Calder Cob, and many have often thought that he helped to betray Archet along with his superior. However, Taruin was captured during the battle and was taken back to the Blackwold's hideout.
While in captivity, he was brutally beaten and tortured by one of the Angmarim allies of the Blackwolds. Due to the poison on the blade, it led for him to lose his memory and all pigmentation in his hair. This has led for him to hate Angmar.
After his revival in the hideout, he was rescued by Bretthera and slowly began to piece together what had happened to him.
He is known to be holding a small blue stone with the elvish word "Serenity" etched into it in gold letters.
Taruin's surname is elvish for "Blackblood."
