| Outward Appearance | Ruothilde is a hobbit, short and mildly plump, but she is young and only barely of age. She has dark brown eyes and a round nose, and she's always wearing a smile. Her hair is short and curly, cut about her face to keep it manageable. She can usually be found wearing a blue or green dress - her favorite colors - or a chef's apron and hat. But never shoes! She has a light dusting of freckles on her cheeks and a dark tan from being outside most of her life. |

Background
A rather young hobbit, having only been of age for one year, who lived with her mother in Michel Delving. She is of the young age where adventure has its merits and draws, and she has spendt a rather lot of time around the Tooks as well. She is a lively girl and very good at the household chores she uses at the Prancing Pony. For the last two years, she has had to be the caregiver for her mother, Leila Brownlock, a sickly lady with a wild temper who demanded the help of her daughter.
She is the niece of Dora Brownlock, and her father died not two years ago of some breathing disease. Ruthie still goes to help her aunt on the farm, until recently, when it was overrun by wolves.
Ruthie wants to have fun and meet many people, to hear stories. She loves stories, about magic and elves and wizards, about the grand kingdoms of Men in the East and the wonders of the past ages. She tells many stories herself, to those who she finds who will listen, and has yet to get a bad response. She has a knack for picking out lies and liars, and a talent for inspiring those around her.
She also very much wants to be a traveling bard, like you hear in the stories, who meet these strangers on the road, who turn out to be heroes and then they have such magnificent times to tell stories of, and they see so much and do so much. To Ruthie, that means she must travel to Bree to meet as many people as she can!
Her love of music and instruments meets her love of cooking. She began learning when she was very young, and desperate to fill her own stomach whenever she pleased! Now, though, she prefers to see others’ enjoyment, though food is very very important to her as well.
