Outward Appearance

Lheuwen has unruly, tawny hair, cut roughly to shoulder-blade length and worn loose. Her serious, slate-blue eyes are set in a somewhat anxious face, with proud cheekbones and a stubborn chin. Her skin is a warm olive in tone, sometimes painted with dark blue patterns, according to the custom of the Dunlending Ox-clan.

She is around average height for a Middle Woman, with an athletic build. Her voice tends to be low and quiet. She speaks Westron fluently, but with an unusual accent; Men of Dunland or Rohan might recognise the intonation of the Stonedeans.

Background

Exiled from the Kingdom of Rohan for a crime she did not commit, Lheuwen was driven from her homeland in the Stonedeans at the age of fifteen. Rejected by her mother's kin in Dunland, she roamed Eriador for several years, scraping a living from the wilds.

Her sentence of exile was eventually overturned, and she returned to the Stonedeans for a time. She was still dwelling there when the War of the Ring broke out, and she sided with the Kingdom of Rohan against Saruman and his allies.

After the war, she began to feel still less welcome in Rohan and so travelled north again, eventually coming to Bree-land. There she met the Black Steel, a company devoted to protecting the Free Peoples from the forces of darkness. She remained with them for many months, honing her fighting skills in many battles against the evil beings who still dwelt in the Lone-lands.

In the early Fourth Age, relenting to her grandfather's requests, she travelled back south to Dunland to rekindle ties with her family there. She now spends much of her time in Dunland, returning to Bree-land to visit when she can.
