And Attitude : With a stern and cruel countenance, pale grey eyes and hair as silver as Telperion itself, Angolfân proudly stands a clear 7' tall well muscled by horse and swordplay, and likes to look down on the lessers as he calls them, he is one of perhaps a handful of true Noldor left in middle-earth, most having perished through the millennia to war or misfortune and thinks he is accorded due respect. He is quick with a sneer or put down if any deign to talk to him without the proper reverence or just ignores the offender all together, he speaks only Quenya and uses solely the Tengwar, the script created by his hero Feanor, though he knows and can speak others if the mood takes him, he is always right and will argue the point until his opponent either walks away or concedes, he likes to lead in all things and will cause strife and discord if he doesn't get his own way, though once shown a better way of doing something his loyalty is grudgingly earned.

He wears his ancient, battered and burned war armour, well cared for despite it seeing him through countless battles through the ages, his colours are black and rich and burnished gold, his sword is bathed in the blood of Balrogs and occasionally bursts into flame when wielded in anger (which is often).

Background

YOT & 1ST AGE : A Noldor born in the light of the two trees in Tirion, the only son of (Q) Nornayat and (Q) Hallanar, his mother name was (Q) Meldanon, and he was much loved by her, his father name was (Q) Yaiwepe, as he was a cheeky child, he was a youngster (50<100) when his parents were swept up in the furore that was Fëanor's speech and they abandoned Valinor joining the host of Feanor dragging their son with them, though Angolfân was shocked at the poor treatment of the Telerin elves he understood the need to return over the water to thwart the transgressions of Melkor the coward, feeling the burning of their ships and havens was just desserts for being denied help, sadly during the battle his father was slain by a wayward Telerin arrow, and his mother was drowned in the deep harbour in the fight to board the ships, leaving him bitter towards the lesser elves.

After the landing and burning of the ships he sought to emulate Fëanor's ways and strove to learn all he could of his skill, and as such was quickly taken into the host of Caranthir, riding patrols against Morgoth's forces and delighting in slaughtering any foul creatures he could find, his name was coined by Caranthir as he jokingly said he could cloud dragons themselves with his mocking wit, and the name stuck. he was stricken when Feanor was cheated of his victory at the Dagor-nuin-Giliath and was ambushed by Balrogs setting back the hopes of a victory and reclamation of the Silmarillions, and he has been at the forefront of every battle since. He felt aggrieved that Maedhros gave up his rightful title to High King of the Noldor and gave the title away to Fingolfin, and any chance of claiming the Silmarils by right.

He is well disposed towards the Blue Mountain Dwarrows as they paid due respect and tribute to Caranthir for travelling through his lands to Doriath, he has a mistrust of the race of men as they are the kin of Ulfang the betrayer from the Dagor Nírnaeth Arnoediad and has seen little to change his opinion of them since. Has also has a strong dislike of the Sindar as they witheld the Silmarillion keeping the sons of Feanor trapped in their oath.

2ND AGE : He wasn't surprised that men once again sought for more then they should have and was pleased when the power of Ulmo was used and destroyed those trying to get to the undying lands, he joined in the scholarly practices at Hollin abiding there for a while and taking an instant dislike to Annatar (too clever by half), and avoided him, eventually moving on to Lorien, he took part in the last alliance and joined the host of Lorien as he didn't agree that Gil-galad was high king of the Noldor

3RD AGE : He has since sought to find a way to continue his oaths against the Dark Lord and his minions and though he knows of the power of the master ring, he seems to have fallen into evil ways, as the sons of Feanor before him, carrying much anger and frustration against perceived wrongs, though he is sure of his rivalry with Sauron and will succeed with or without the white councils help.
