Pendecardiel is younger than most elves in Middle Earth. At the elven equivalent of a young adult, approximately fifty years old. A Silvan elf, she has unkempt, messy dark blond hair she lets loose. She has blue eyes. She tends to wear light traveling clothes.

She shows various signs of a rough lifestyle. She has several scars and cuts from recent battles, and her skin and clothes are charred in various bruises, splotched with dirt and mud. All archers need upper body strength and discipline to handle the draw back strength. Pendecardiel indeed has toned muscle, despite her thinner body type.

In the early years of Third Age, Istyarlas and Carchiel were born. Istyarlas came from a direct bloodline of Silvan elves, while Carchiel had mixed Silvan and Nandor blood.  Within the timeframe of 1050, they had grown up and married. As the Greenwood started to fall under the corruption of the Necromancer, Istyarlas grew restless of the growing darkness. When he lost family members to the defense of the forest, he came to the conclusion that it was not safe any longer. He desired to move away, to a safer haven. Carchiel, however, refused.

As the darkness grew, so did the young couple's fighting. However, in time, Carchiel saw the damage to the forest and with regret agreed with her husband. In the year 1350, they packed to move.

Initially, they planned to stay in Lothlorien. It was close enough to Mirkwood to visit family; yet far enough from the danger. Due to the secretive culture of Lothlorien, however, it was near impossible to leave for family visits. With the news of war in Arnor, they stayed in Lothlorien until 2040. Then, they moved to Lindon.

It was here they would stay. Istyarlas quickly maintained the reputation of a skilled scholar and historian. He became a teacher, a respected official. He was quite happy here, yet Carchiel was not. While Istyarlas maintained an active, fulfilling lifestyle, Carchiel fell into a state of depression. So far from the Greenwood of the past, she withered within the stately home Istyarlas had bought them in Falathorn.

Desperate to make his wife happy again, Istyarlas did everything he could think of to improve her health. They travelled to Rivendell during the holidays, he took her on expeditions for relics of the past, he made feasts and threw parties during the weekends - get only temporary happiness found her there.

Hopeless, Istyarlas decided on one final option. He asked the severely homesick Carchiel if since she wanted family, maybe they should expand their own family here. Calaerwen was born in 2931 T.A.

Not only was Carchiel happy for the first time in years... she was the happiest she had ever been in her life.

The girl proved to be stubborn like her father and restless like her mother. She was often seen returning home soaking wet from swimming in the rivers or covered in filth from climbing the old walls of ruins. Her hair was always messy and tangled. She preferred light clothing to gowns or robes.

When Calaerwen was inside, she was learning. She loved her father's tales of Middle Earth's history. Her mother told her stories of the Greenwood and the wood elves that protected it. Calaerwen aspired to become an explorer, a treasure hunter, a traveling scholar who uncovered the mysteries of the world.

Things were bound to turn sour, however. In the harvest holiday of 2985 the family was traveling to Rivendell to celebrate. The carriage was ambushed by the Tarknip Tribe of orcs. While Istyarlas and Calaerwen got away, Carchiel was felled by an arrow.

The father and daughter took the death harshly. Istyarlas became extra protective of his daughter. He locked her in his household and only let her go to the library to study. Yet the helicopter parent found that it was hard to keep the flame in his daughter contained. Calaerwen initially stayed in the house with her grief, yet her sadness steadily grew into anger. She remembered her mother's stories of the archers of the Greenwood, who kept their home safe from darkness. What good did the elves of Rivendell or Rangers of the North do when her family was attacked by orcs? No longer did Calaerwen want to just be an explorer - she wanted to be a hunter.

She snuck out while her father was away studying. She taught herself to use the bow, sword, spear, and more. She was a natural at hewing the branches she pretended were orcs. Her desire for justice grew hotter and hotter.

When Istyarlas discovered her secret, he was furious. He wanted to keep his daughter safe, but she argued that if she just hid and ran away, nobody would be safe. He grew even more strict, but she fought back even harder. In the year 3017, she finally packed her bags and ran away from home. She renamed herself Pendecardiel.

Pendecardiel was on her own now. She was on a perilous search for self...
