| Outward Appearance | Graceful she stands, light, precise and elegant movements effortlessly effused by her body. Her skin is pale and soft to the touch and long healed are the scars earned in past battles. A for her hair, it falls in long waves, reaching the back of her knees and presents a deep brown color the shade of young tree bark. Its color contrasts nicely with the emerald sheen of her eyes, crowned by long lashes and harmoniously complimenting the sharp yet delicate features of her face.
Even if disguised by her fair and delicate appearance, Atheben carries a strength about her that is best displayed when at battle. The welcoming and friendly disposition she most often offers to all can be swiftly betrayed by a determined and firm one, for despite being an advocate of peace and selflessness it would do well not to forget the elleth can and will stand up against untasteful behavior towards her person or others. |

Background
Born a noble elf in the realm of Doriath, ruled by King Thingol and Melian the Maia, Nordhrethien -as she was known then- was raised alongside her brother to stand up to the high expectations of their people and introduced since an early age to both the intellectual arts and self-defense. When she came of age and having mastered the use of spear, sword, shield and javelins, Nordhrethien became a Marchwarden of the realm of Doriath alongside her eldest and youngest brothers. When the War of Wrath called upon their gates bringing doom and peril, Nordhrethien fought until the very end and barely escaped the waters that drowned her now mourned land.
Her brothers and her took refuge in Lindon, under the rule of Gil-galad. There she stood watch until war found them once more, brought on by Sauron. After it reached its end, pained by the many losses of friends, her brothers chose to sail west, saddening the heart of their younger sister. Yet, even if her soul was pained, the Warden kept a warm heart and the fierce resolve she had always held to defend the lands of Middle-earth until they are free of all evil grasps, even if the time of her kin on its fair expanse would soon near its end. She left Lindon then and became a wanderer.
Although she was born under the name Nordhrethien -still used by those who knew her by it- the Falathrim began to call her Atheben (“Kind One”) as a result of the selfless and helpful disposition of the tareldar who lived among them for some time. Unlike most of her kin, whom with the years grew distant and silent as the call to Aman grew stronger, Atheben learned to live at peace with her sorrows and longings, taking on a life of dutiful pilgrimage, travelling through Middle-earth one last time and aiding as she may before departing to never return.
