Background
Afiel was a wanderer who hailed from Imladris. She left her family many years ago in order to help lord Kalesiar and his order in their mission of protecting the Dunedain heritage. It was also a way for her to get to know the world and get over her recklessness, which was the very thing that always got her in trouble.
Many a year had passed in her service of lord Kalesiar, and her knowledge and strength grew in the company of her kinsmen. But, after having heard about her father being captured by the goblins in the caves of Misty Mountains, she rode there alone the very same night. Hoping that darkness would be her ally, she snuck into the cave from which loud, horrible shrieks were heard. She hurried through the foul passages, and soon found herself in a large room. There lay her father, bound by shackles and heavily injured. He tried to speak, but only short, incoherent warnings passed his lips. She helped him reach the exit, and placed him on her horse, whispering an order into its ear. Before letting the horse go, she wrote a letter of apology to lord Kalesiar and hid it in her father's pocket.
She took one last look in the distance, towards her beloved Imladris, and turned her burning eyes back to the cave. She hid inside and waited for the goblins to return, sharping her arrows impatiently. Soon, they returned and noticed their prisoner was gone. As they ran through the room, she took them down, one by one. But, more of them kept rushing in.. it seemed like a whole army. She closed her eyes for a moment, remembering everything that she loved and cared for and one glistening tear slid from her eye. She grasped her daggers and put down her bow affectionately. She ran into the sea of goblins with a smile, thursting her dagger into a goblin's throat.
A few days later, a white horse entered Imladris, wounded Elven warrior on its back. It carried him to Elrond. Upon opening his eyes, he asked where his daughter was, knowing in his heart that he already knew the answer.
