Life:
Whilst being born in the Golden Wood, Kiriaz has spent much of his life abroad travelling and seeing the sights of elvendom, though when he has been away his heart has always yearned for the scent of the mallorn trees of his home.

Kiriaz has fought in several of the key battles that Middle-Earth has seen including the Battle of the Last Alliance and the Battle of Five Armies. In the Battle of the Last Alliance, Kiriaz witnessed the fall of the last elven king, Gil Galad and the moment that changed Middle-Earth's fate forever: the cutting of the ring from Sauron's hand.

When battle threatened the destruction of Edhellion, Kiriaz rode forth to its defence, but too late as the attacking Dourhands succeeded in destroying much that was once beautiful.  Though a small victory was ensured when one of the Lore Masters of Edhellion destroyed the home of many powerful relics, killing himself and the Dourhand commander.

Elrond Halfelved foresaw danger in the ruins of Edhellion years later and Kiriaz was summoned once more to aid in the defence of elven lands. Events lead to Kiriaz fighting across Eriador, slowly making his way west and, eventually, into the valley of Rivendell where Lord Elrond told him of the finding of the Ring of Power. With the One Ring discovered, Kiriaz now trains harder than ever to defend those who cannot defend themselves from the growing shadow in the East.

Kiriaz has journeyed all over the lands west of the Misty Mountains, aiding all the free peoples (though sometimes not openly welcomed). Against his better judgement, Kiriaz enterred Khazad Dum and braved the darkness.  Against armies of goblins and worse, Kiriraz eventually fought his way through Moria and out the other side of the Misty Mountains into his homeland.

 

Kiriaz often patrols the Golden Wood, killing any orc foolish enough to attempt to cross the borders of the Galadhrim.  Word has reached him that battles wage in Mirkwood and it is the will of the White Lady that he should lend his sword to driving the evil from Dol Guldur.

 

Kinship:

Kiriaz was recruited by his younger sister, Villith Ellyan, to join the cause of The Forgotten Warriors upon its founding.  He fought alongside many a brave warrior, though he knew very few of them.  He was eventually promoted to successor to the kin, should its leader, Eradris fall.

Kiriaz and Eradris decided to join the ranks of the Wardens of Lothlorien, eventually being given command of a regiment of the Wardens due to their experience in leading The Forgotten Warriors.  Now Eradris and Kiriaz recruit and train elves to defend the Golden Wood, their regiment going by the name Wardens of Lorien.

After a time, Eradris stood down as leader, passing the responsibility over to Kiriaz.  Being trained more as a soldier, Kiriaz was perhaps unready for the burden of leadership, however he has recently spent more time among other Wardens such as Haldir to learn what he may about leading.


Combat training:
Trained in several forms of advanced combat techniques and magics, Kiriaz eventually settled into a form favored by Wardens, which he learned along side Haldir. His style of fighting favores versatility; enabling Kiriaz to fight at range, defend himself, go on the offensive or use healing spells to survive. He works to master the art of Warden warfare.

Kiriaz favors the use of a javellin for ranged combat and has learned to specialise in the mastery of longswords and warden shields in melee. Despite this, Kiriaz can wield almost any form of one-handed weapon with differing levels of proficiency.


Likes and dislikes:
Despite all the time he has spent preparing for war, Kiriaz prefers to spend time in peace. He will often retire to the nearest town or villiage to play the lute when he feels his body tiring (which takes a long time for an elf).

Kiriaz enjoys many of the arts, especailly music and drawings. He doesn't often research the past, given he experienced much of it and he finds that doing so reawakens pain of things lost.
