King Theoden' power is fading. Poisoned by the servants of the dark Lord, he does not know what he is doing. The land lies in silence, people are hiding in their huts, even the wild animals are hidden... Dark times have come to Rohan... Silina Rui, is a maid at king Theodens court, as well feels the consequences of this war. Being raised at a near by farm, Silina is the daughter of humble folks, peasants. She has 4 brothers and 2 sisters, as the tradition of the farmland folk requires them to have bigger families. Her parents were good people, not rich perhaps, but good, and that is how Isilina as well was raised up. Her parents always tought her that mercy, love and selfishness pay of in life. Being one of the most beautiful maids around, wedding proposals soon started to pile up. At the age of 17, when the age was right, the man who were about to ask for her hand gathered at their house. Many have come, warriors, farmers from the near by lands and even sons of high lords from Theodens Court. Only one cought her attencion anyhow. It was a young Rohhirim lord called Eroim, son of Eroin. Eroim did not have many experiances in war, as he was still young, but he did have with women. And he knew exsactly what he wanted here. Being known previuslly as one of the best catches at the court, he did not have a hard time convincing Isilina, a beautifull but foolish maid from the countryside to marry him. Now she can only wish she had not... A few weeks after they got married, life seemed so great at the time, but all signs were pointing for it to be over very soon. Isilina got pregnant, but Eroim, the honorable lord, was not happy. He did not love Isilina, as she did him. In the fifth month of her pregnancy he came into the room, influenced by a lot of alkohol, and started beating Isilina up, screaming at her, and threatening her with his sword. The Guards came in, and prevented him from killing her, which was nearly the case. She had bruises all over her body but she survived. When she woke up next day, Eroim had already gone out. She looked at her self, and her body seemed so well taken care off. She thought perhaps she over reacted, and she did still love Eroim. She decided not to run away. It was only a few days later, when the big dissaster happened. She lost the baby. Oh how many nights did she spent crying, mourning her unborn child. And things were about to get worse. Her oh-so-dear lord Eroim betrayed her once more. It was in a battle with the hillman who were plundering the west-fold, when Eroim changed sites. The hillman were winning, sloughtering the Rohhirim all over the fields. When Eroim saw it, he droped his sword and begged for mercy, and he succseded. The hillman let him live, for the price of joining them. The desperate Eroim joined them without hassitation. But through the following weeks, Eroim proved not to only did this in fear of his life, as his actions were more and more brutal, and his living with the hillman gave him joy and pleasure. Isilina knew nothing of this, still mouring her dead child at Theodens court, it was weeks later when the big news hit her. Eroim was seen with the hillman, killing their own kin. The king in his rage, banned Isilina from not only his halls, but from Rohan! She begged him for mercy, swearing she had nothing to do with it, because she loved her land, her family and her king, but he did not listen. Isilina there for packed her bags and left Rohan to wander around Middle Earth on her own, until she proves her right and regains her honour and she may return to her home. A maid, beautiful as the sun set, brave and corageous to prove her right, wandering around Middle Earth, looking for foes to slay. Only one weakness still remains, love. Love is what all her life is about. Love for Rohan, love for the King, love for her family, and her undying love for the treacerous lord Eroim who so much destroyed her life. So if you meet Isilina, do not be surprised, she is quiet, and shy and her eyes look sad and reveal nothing, but if you talk to her, she will soon prove why she is a real maid of Theodens Court. Every man will remember the day he meet Isilina the pride of Rohan. But I'm warning you, as much love as she still has within her self, she does not trust people any more as easy she did. You may need to get to know her in order for her to became a trust worthy friend, but you can always rely on her.
