Ever lovers of tradition, nature, and songs, the elves near Celondim are gathering to observe the beauty of summer with one another. Everyone brings their finest food and drinks to lay out upon the grass, pulls out their choice instruments, and take turns striking up a melody. A crisp, refreshing sea breeze floats upon the warm summer air and lifts the elves up into a merry and graceful dancing that lasts until the sun sets and stars begin to glimmer above in the night sky.

((All musicians are welcome to come perform with an elf character. More information on this event can be found at http://laurelinarchives.org/node/38581))

A few bedraggled wood-elves have begun appearing in Imladris by way of the Misty Mountains, separated in snow storms from their caravan. They have petitioned Lord Elrond for a search party to find those still lost in the snow.

Tinurendis encountered goblins, and it is feared that some members of the party are now within the jails of goblin-town or felled by goblin spears.

Any who wish to join the search please contact Barangolf or Tinurendis.

(We are looking to kick some more wood-elf RP into gear!

Looking for the following:

fellow travelers from Mirkwood, ESPECIALLY WOOD-ELVES, whether missing in the mountains or escaped to Rivendell. We IC have claimed there were 15 of us, and we only have 3 actually played.

anyone interested in joining a search party, whether out of generosity or adventure or because they have friends/family among the missing -- NPC missing are also welcome.

There is no scheduled day for this, but Barangolf and Tinurendis are primarily available after 9:30PM EST)

The Glade Council was founded over 500 years ago by an elven scout known as Mithrelas. Mithrelas Faerondarl was 1386 years old, he grew up within the woodland realm of Mirkwood, once known as Greenwood the Great. The name Mithrelas is composed by the Sindarin words mithren, meaning "grey", and las, meaning "leaf." Although fairly young, Mithrelas had advanced knowledge of combat and had proven his leadership skills to many of his kinsmen when he was appointed leader of a compnay of Elves appointed with the task to retake the ruined tower of Cirith Ungol. The Glade Council became part of Mithrelas' life when he was sent by his lord to help fight the Evil spawning all over Bree-Land. As a wood elf Mithrelas set up camp in Eryn Vorn rather than paying for a room in the Prancing Pony. The trees of Eryn Vorn began to communicate with the Elf and warned him of powerful evil forces corrupting the world. Mithrelas became aware of the real threat of the Shadow as many orc invaders tried to slay him in his sleep. The orcs were sent to the forest by an unknown enemy, to cut down the trees and use them to fuel their black forges. Mithrelas had to protect the Forest as it was now part of him. One dusky evening he came across a fellowship of travellers, they too claimed to be communicating with the forest and were also determined to protect it from harm. A kinship was forged and remained strong until, suddenly, it shattered, never to be heard of again.

But, nature always finds a way and slowly it seems that the Council may once again stand against the forces of the Dark Lord.
