Aeruthuil stares away towards the Town of Bree as he stands on the edge of a clearing. Stars fading around him and the other men behind him in the camp. Just a few feet away from him, a young woman sleeps in his tent. He wasn't quite sure what to do with her than to offer Sareva a place to stay the night. Whether it was to give her a certain sense of safety, or to take away his own worries, he wasn't quite sure about.

It was late at night when Aeruthuil made his way through the woods near Towerglan. It was a calm night, one you wouldn't remember because it was so much like any other night.
The stars were out, not brighter than usual, but they were there. It was quiet around him as Aeruthuil strolled around, hearing only himself and the critters shooting away from him through dense ticket. Suddenly quickened steps clacked on cobbles laid out as a small road further up.

The road finally before us

Diary

I've lost count of the months, but it was about half a year ago, late summer or early autumn, when I were first in Bree and starting to think about the trip back to the Mark, and now, at last, we're taking the first steps. Today will be an easy start to the journey, as me and Miss Adri only mean to make the camp-site below Weathertop, by the spring, same as last time.

Having a house that's yours, even if only rented, and having the chance of people visiting -- especially, but not only, because you're courting -- calls for a lot of things to have on hand. I'm sure I've barely scratched the surface of what a host should be ready to offer, and I've already spent as much as I can make in a half-dozen visits to the marshes gathering goblin ears. And just for things for my visitors to drink!

Home again! And with it, all the mixed feelings one would expect. A bit of melancholy that our trip is over, and the lazy, idyllic days of self indulgence are in the past. It is time for me to head back to the barrack stables, and back to Neyaa's farm, while my beloved heads out each day with pickaxe in hand.

Brynleigh and Conrob: I'll just write these two together as you almost never see them apart. The newly wed couple are as happy as ever it would seem, not much else to say about this couple. Currently on a trip with Baldmar.

Sareva: An enterprising and kind hearted tailor with a keen interest in seeing all of her potential customers safe. She is more aware of the troubles of the world then any other local I have talked to and seemed to empathize with my plight and as such I enjoy talking to her. Perhaps a little too clever for her own good.

Fuck 'em. Fuck 'em all.

Seems I've spent too often, in recent months, shedding tears and willingly letting my mind shatter, for what was never anything else other than a dead end. Oh, how could I be so foolish. I was better than this. I am better than this. So why am I crying right now? Where is there still tears lining my bruised cheeks.
