Travel Journal - 47th of Yávië, Dimrill Dale

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I could not write much during my passage over the mountains. Suffice it to say the trip was brutal and cold, the landscape stark and mostly hidden by falling snow, and I am shocked that I was not attacked by more than a few stray goblins and bears.

Travel Journal - Yávië (date unknown), Eregion

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I have not enjoyed my time in Eregion.

I know, I know. My father (much less my grandfather) would be horrified, I am sure, to learn that I am less than pleased with my exploration of this place. Yet I cannot help it. The land itself is beautiful, but there is something strange about it--something eerie and echoing, at least to my mind, something empty and sad.

OOC note: This adventure will serve as a log for the duration of the time we are on the road. It will likely remain unfinished until the event is complete and we are back home in Bree. I plan to update it after every night of RP. Please also note that this is strictly for OOC reference, and this does not exist ICly. Its main purpose is to serve as a catchup guide for anyone who may have missed a day previously, or to simply review what happened the night before.

Day 1; 28/3/14:

Isilya, Coirë 36, Diary entry

Isilya, Coirë 36,

Dear Father.

I have just returned to Duillond after a brief visit to Mithlond, searching, as ever, for Annachel.

Well, I found her. Rather, I discovered what has become of her. I spoke to some harbourmen and local sailors. It seems that she felt that the time was right to join you in The West. She booked passage and sailed twenty five days before I arived.

I...I have a hard time understanding why she didn't tell me that she felt The Call, or why she left in the manner she did. Why did she leave no word? Why the haste?

Anarya, Coirë 5

Dear Father,

I have made my way into the Shire, keeping to the wooded areas. It is a quaint and peaceful place, though the peoples seem quite suspicious of me. I have been on my best behaviours when going into their small towns, I promise. I have started relearning the craft of the Armourer, as you taught me. It is coming back to me much quicker than I anticipated, given the lack of facilities I have true access to.

I finally decided to write out a summary of fourteen years. I'll try to make it brief. Let me see. If you are reading this, then I've most likely given you permission. Otherwise, where this little tale is picking up from, won't make much sense.  Moving on.

Traveling, traveling, and more traveling

Aigh, another long day.

You'd think that I'd want to get on the horse every day and ride closer to home.

But it's not the case.  I ache all over, and it's just...I miss home.

I miss my friends.  I miss my family.  This would be much eaiser if I had a traveling companion.

Aigh, maybe this is just a case of being travel sore.  Next town I hit, I'll be fine.  Just need a real bed and some real food, that's all.

No time for whinning, there's work to be done.
