Finally granted an audience with the Lord of Imladris, Miluthir wasted no time with questioning Elrond as to the whereabouts of Legolas. When Elrond was unwilling to speak of his destination, or his quest, Miluthir grew angry and demanded an answer in the name of the Elvenking. Without warning, several dour-faced Elves stepped from the shadows, escourting Miluthir quietly from the Hall of Elrond. Determined to find the truth, and to avoid failing his King, Miluthir remained within the valley, constantly alert to rumours of Legolas, or the strange company that he departed with.

Frustrated by Erestor, Miluthir has no choice but to pursue an answer from the Lord Glorfindel. Taking a different approach, Miluthir asks of news of Thranduil's son, explaining how worried the King was, and that Miluthir was only there to learn if Legolas was safe, and when he would return. Against his better judgement, Glorfindel took pity upon the pain of the Elvenking, and agreed to allow Miluthir to meet Elrond.

Upon arrival in the valley of Imladris, Miluthir meets with Erestor, chief counsellor of Elrond. Erestor does not respond well to the demands of the Mirkwood Elf, and instead of directing him to Elrond, he suggests that he speaks with Lord Glorfindel instead.
